Beach Haus® will Bike to Create a World Free of MS May 19th & 20th

Point Pleasant Beach, NJ (May 9, 2012) – For the third year in a row, creators of the Beach Haus® beer brands, John Merklin and Brian Ciriaco will assemble a team of cyclists to help raise money to find a cure for MS for the Coast the Coast Bike MS ride. This year the two-day event takes place on May 19th and May 20th and encourages cyclists to accept the challenge to help the organization, and its sponsors, create a world free of MS. Team Beach Haus® will ride alongside 1,600 other cyclists along the Jersey Shore with the hopes of raising more money this year than years past.

“Since we started our business, this is an event that we try never to miss,” said Merklin. “It’s something that we truly enjoy doing – being outdoors and cycling along the Jersey Shore for a cause that affects so many that we hope to help.”

“And we are always looking for new people to join us on our ride,” added Ciriaco. “Last year we raised over $3000, and it’s our goal to surpass that amount with this year’s effort.”

To join the Beach Haus® Team or to support our team with a donation, click on the Bike MS link on the BeachHausBeer.com homepage and help John and Brian contribute to the MS Society’s efforts to find a cure for MS.

This year marks the 21st year for the Coast the Coast Bike MS Ride. There are several ride lengths available to accommodate the casual cyclist to the person looking for a challenge, and depending on the ride choice, cyclists can enjoy coastal views, seaside towns, historic sites, the Pine Barrens and Cape May. Whatever ride chosen, the Coast the Coast offers complete support with meals, fully stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, medical and mechanical support, SAG vehicles, police and motorcycle assistance, shuttle buses back to the start lines and more.

East Coast Beer Co. will have a sponsor table after the race where they will showcase their flagship brew, Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner. Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner, which spurred the creation of not only Beach Haus® Winter Rental, but a third beer to be announced soon, is a refreshing classic american pilsner that is reminiscent of the old German-American style of brewing. The full-flavored, pre-prohibition style Pilsner uses all-American ingredients, including Mt. Hood Hops, and is brewed to perfection reflecting a unique taste and style of the Jersey Shore.

In addition to the Classic American Pilsner, Beach Haus® has two other beers in its brand stable, including their Beach Haus® Winter Rental which launched in October of 2011. It is a seasonal lager that was inspired by the German Schwarzbier – a hearty, yet soft and elegant brew that brings comfort to the late fall and winter months, and is a darker beer with roasted malts and a hint of chocolate.

Their most recent release is Kick Back Ale, an American Amber Ale that will interest fans of the American pale ale, but offer more body, caramel richness and a balance more towards malt than hops.

To join the Beach Haus® Team, send an email to info@beachausbeer.com and help John and Brian aid the cause to find a cure for MS.

About East Coast Beer Co. – Established in 2007, the Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey-based East Coast Beer Co. (ECBC) was founded by passionate individuals with a belief that the great American traditions of creativity, diversity, and accessibility apply equally to building a great beer company. Led by two long-time friends, John Merklin and Brian Ciriaco, East Coast Beer Co.’s first beer, Beach Haus®, is a Classic American Pilsner (CAP) which was crafted to pay homage to those early German-American brewers and the CAP style they created. The company continues to explore and fuel their love of craft beer by cultivating and developing new brews, as evidenced by the launch of their second and third beers – Winter Rental, a dark, seasonal lager with roasted malts and a hint of chocolate, and Kick Back Ale, an American amber ale with a pleasing hop aroma, caramel rich body and a refreshingly balanced finish. Over the next couple of years, beer enthusiasts and novices alike will continue to see a number of original beer creations that are as easy to enjoy and appreciate as the rest of the East Coast Beer Co brews.
The Road Code Enlists Dynamic NJ Real Estate Boutique

Coccia Realty, Inc. Creates Hundreds of Road Codes to Aid in Marketing Efforts

Sparta, NJ; Everywhere, USA (April 24th, 2012)- After only a few short months on the world wide web, the new ‘free-way’ to advertise, The Road Code, announces their most recent partnership with Coccia Realty, Inc. of northern New Jersey. Just out of the beta stage, The Road Code attracted the growing boutique agency that immediately recognized the benefits of the newest listing and posting site and quickly began creating Road Codes. As of today, the real estate agency has well over 100 Road Codes and is creating new codes every day.

“We knew it was going to be a win-win for everyone,” said Paul Brocky, co-creator of The Road Code. “The Road Code has a lot of really great benefits unique to the real estate industry. Coccia Realty is such a modern, tech-savvy real estate brokerage with an aggressive and dynamic marketing program that we knew that our product was the perfect fit for them.”

Coccia Realty, Inc. is an established real estate brokerage that has been selling homes since 1961. They currently have over 100 dedicated agents and staff in several offices in Northern New Jersey, including strategic markets such as Madison, Montville, Rutherford, Lyndhurst and Kearny and have plans for expanding farther into Morris County. Coccia Realty, Inc. is in the top 2% of member offices of sold and closed for the entire New Jersey Multiple Listing Service. Their success has been built on expertise, personalized service and the use of all the tools necessary for today’s buyers and sellers.

“We are always seeking to capitalize on newer technology to bring the best results to our clients,” said John Kwapniewski, President and owner of Coccia Realty, Inc. “We immediately recognized the benefits of The Road Code over other interactive technologies which are less efficient, like QR codes that require you to get out of the car to take a snapshot for listing information.”

Farah Chaffin, Director of Social Media for Coccia Realty added, “The Road Code is a great tool because it provides instant access to property information including photos, videos and virtual tours. It also allows people to reach out directly to a Coccia agent to answer additional questions or to schedule a showing. The Road Code puts all the information in the user’s hand.”

The Road Code, found at www.TheRoadCode.com, is an online informational and listing website that allows users to create their own mini websites that lets them post the who, what, when, where, why about anything they want to promote or sell. Once they have put in all this information into a profile, complete with a picture and video capabilities, they are given a four-character code to use in their marketing and promotional efforts, as well as the ability to print The Road Code signs to post with the unique code. The website is completely free for everyone to create their own codes and search other codes already listed on the site.

The newest additions to The Road Code include their recently launched apps for Android, iPhone, iPad, and Blackberry. Users can download the free application from Blackberry’s App World, as well as Android’s Market (Google Play) and iTunes. The app is also available at www.RoadCodeApp.com where more information and screen shot tutorials are available. These free applications give users on-the-go-access to any and of the Road Codes on the site.

“We will continue to use QR codes in our print media and advertising, but we expect to start phasing them out as more smart phone users discover the benefits of The Road Code. It’s a cleaner application and offers all the same linking capabilities as QR codes, and the fact that users can access listing data through the app and the website makes it that much more accessible to consumers. An added benefit is that it cuts down on waste. When a property sells we can redirect the code to a new listing and reuse the signs.”

Coccia Realty, Inc. expects to create many more Road Codes as the spring market heats up. Currently, they are using them across all their marketing platforms to promote single family homes, condos, multifamily listings, commercial and mixed-use properties, except in cases where real estate signs are not permitted.

The Road Code was created and developed by two long-time friends, Paul Brocky and Tom Catuosco in March of 2011 and launched as a FREE product and services listing platform that allows users to share information in a new and exciting way. Paul’s previous life experience in the “real estate world” sparked the idea that lets “drivers” on The Road Code create their own mini-site, which allows them to put the 5 W’s of whatever they would like – whether it’s an event, a realtor selling a home, someone selling their car, or whatever your heart might desire – and get a four-character code that can be put into the Road Code site (www.TheRoadCode.com), or the free app, and all that information will be displayed. Complete with photo and video capabilities, the site truly allows people to promote their wares, events, existing websites or services for free.

East Coast Beer Co. Kicks Back with the Launch of Its Third Beer

Beach Haus® Kick Back Ale Now Available

Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey (May 2nd, 2012) – The much-anticipated launch of the New Jersey Shore-based East Coast Beer Co.’s third beer is upon its fans. Co-owners John ‘Merk’ Merklin and Brian Ciriaco announced today that they are adding yet a third craft beer to their portfolio, Beach Haus® Kick Back Ale – an American Amber Ale that will interest fans of the American pale ale, but offer more body, caramel richness and a balance more towards malt than hops. The company’s latest brew will be available wherever Beach Haus® beers are available.

“This is really exciting for us,” said Merk. “Many craft drinkers look towards Ale categories when making a selection. We are happy that we can now offer a beer to satisfy their palates.”

The American amber ale, known simply as Red Ales in some regions, are beers that were first popularized in the hop-loving northern California and the Pacific Northwest areas before spreading nationwide. Keeping with the rich amber hues and hop flavor of its predecessor, Beach Haus® Kick Back Ale has a moderate hop taste from a selection of American hop varieties balanced by slightly stronger malt and caramel flavor. It is a full body beer with a smooth finish and easy-going demeanor that is satisfying and undemanding to the everyday beer drinker.

“It’s a great addition to Winter Rental Black Lager and our Classic American Pilsner as well, but has a unique flavor all to its own – best yet we think it is something beer fans will definitely enjoy drinking,” added Brian. “We are pumped for the launch of this beer – the packaging is reflective of the beer’s spirit and it’s the perfect complement to putting your feet up and unwinding.”

Similar to its brother brews, Beach Haus® Kick Back Ale has an ABV of 5.5% and is sold throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York and wherever else Beach Haus® brands are sold.

Other Beach Haus® brands include their flagship brew, Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner, which is a refreshing classic American pilsner that is reminiscent of the old German-American style of brewing. The full-flavored, pre-prohibition style Pilsner uses all-American ingredients including Mt. Hood Hops, and is brewed to perfection reflecting a unique taste and style of the Jersey Shore.

The second brew, Beach Haus® Winter Rental, launched in October of 2011. This seasonal lager that was inspired by the German Schwarzbier – a hearty, yet soft and elegant brew that brings comfort to the late fall and winter months, and is a darker beer with roasted malts and a hint of chocolate. Less hoppy than its predecessor, Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner, Winter Rental is yet another full-flavored, accessible style in the East Coast Beer Co. portfolio.

Milford, PA (May 1, 2012) – After the original inception of the idea more than six months ago, President & Founder of KKPR Marketing & Public Relations, Inc., Katrina
Foster, is proud to announce the launch of Pike County Transit advertising. The boutique agency was awarded the contract mid-March and is now ready to begin the sale of the interior and exterior ad spaces available to the regional business community.

“We were really excited to be awarded this contract,” said Foster. “It’s a great opportunity not only for my agency, but also for the County. It will be a nice revenue stream to the County, while giving regional businesses an affordable way to add to their overall marketing and communications strategy. We have priced this just right and really look forward to watching it take off.”

Pike County Transit (PCT) advertising offers an ideal mass-reach medium for a low comparable cost to impact the Tri-State’s consumers. The advertiser’s message will be delivered in a high-visibility format that can’t be ignored by the riders or the general public. The County offers a fleet of 20 vehicles that will display advertiser’s messages to
residents and visitors alike, in more than 30 counties and three states each month, and reaching them at the perfect time; when consumers are out and about. Dominating the out-of-home media, transportation advertising has become a pinnacle tool in the marketing mix to increase branding and point-of-purchase advertising while staying within advertiser’s budgets.

County vehicles have more than 150,000 riders each year and drivers put at least 30,000 miles per year on each of the vehicles. Exterior advertising space starts at only $5.00 per month and interior advertising space starts at $15.00 per month.

“It’s going to be a great partnership,” said Keith Raser, Director of Transportation for Pike
County. “This information will be invaluable to our residents. It will offer advertising opportunities to our businesses and will help inform both those who ride the buses as well as those who see our buses daily. Katrina Foster (and her staff) of KKPR Marketing and I have worked diligently to bring this endeavor to Pike County, and are anxious to see the first ads on the buses soon!”

Most recently, KKPR Marketing & Public Relations took home a SAGE Award for Best Practices in Marketing & Communications, and earlier in the year, the budding agency was presented with an ADDY award by the AAF NEPA for The Looking Glass Project; a special event turned KKPR brand, which the agency created in the beginning of 2010.

KKPR, Kconceptual Kreations, opened its doors in 2006 and has grown from a one-woman, home-based business to a burgeoning boutique agency that currently includes additional publicists, designers, and administration staff. The marketing and public relations company re-launched its brand in September of 2008, which introduced KKPR Marketing & Public Relations, the new look and feel of Kconceptual Kreations. Since its brand re-launch, many new and exciting things have developed in the world of KKPR from new clients and services to new staff and KKPR Brands. To get the most up-to-date information about the creative boutique, you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and their blog.

SPARTA, NJ; EVERYWHERE, USA (April 19, 2012) – The new ‘freeway to advertise’ that hit the World Wide Web early January, announced today that their listing and posting site, The Road Code, has successfully completed the beta launch of their website. The valuable feedback from early adopters gave the creators of the The Road Code an opportunity to make their site, which is giving both Craigslist and QR codes a run for its money, even better than originally anticipated. The updated version of the site will go live today.

“We’re really pleased with what this site is molding into,” said Paul Brocky, co-owner of The Road Code. ”The new features will allow users to manage multiple codes easier and search for listings geographically, among other updates, resulting in a more user-friendly site, for both the consumer and the promoter. “The Road Code is exactly what a listing and posting site should be”.

Updates to The Road Code include:

Search feature by category/state and keyword

Home page ticker with recently created codes

User login (even if you don’t have any codes created)

Ability to track and watch codes

Ability to store your favorite codes

Optional Facebook commenting on The Road Code detail pages

Captcha requirement to further prevent spam

“With each step in the development of The Road Code, we’ve always kept the consumer’s best interest in mind,” added Tom Catuosco, co-owner of The Road Code. “Completing the beta launch is just the next step to achieving true user satisfaction. We will continue to make this the best site we can for them.”

Among the newest additions to the website, The Road Code launched free apps for Android, iPhone, iPad and Blackberry last month. Users can download the free application from Blackberry’s App World, as well as Android’s Market (Google Play) and iTunes. The app is also at www.roadcodeapp.com where more information and screen shot tutorials are available. These free applications give users on-the-go access to any and all of the Rode Codes on the site.

The Road Code, found at www.TheRoadCode.com, is an online informational and listing website that allows users to create their own mini websites that lets them post the who, what, when, where, why about anything they want to promote or sell. Once they have put in all this information into a profile, complete with picture and video capabilities, they are given a four-character code to use in their marketing and promotional efforts, as well as the ability to print The Road Code signs to post with this unique code. And the best part about the site is that it’s free.

Point Pleasant Beach, NJ (April 11, 2012) – Last summer East Coast Beer Co. expanded its distribution of its flagship brew, Beach Haus®Classic American Pilsner, into Pennsylvania and they are proud to announce that they will be showing off their Jersey Shore-styled beers for the second time at McCoole’s Beer Festival in Quakertown, PA on Saturday, April 28th. The festival, which features 60 craft beers, will host two, four-hour sessions of beer tastings, which will include Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner and
their most recent creation, Beach Haus® Winter Rental.

Tickets for the event are $30.00 in advance, or $35.00 at the door, and can be purchased online at www.mccoolesbeerfest.com. Designated drivers are encouraged and tickets for their admittance is $10.00 in advance, available online, or $15.00 at the door.

“It’s exciting for us to get out and meet some of the folks that really enjoy our beer, especially in a new market,” said John ‘Merk’ Merklin, co-owner of East Coast Beer Co.

“Yeah, you really can’t go wrong at a beer festival – everyone is there talking about what they love – beer!” added Brian Ciriaco, co-owner of East Coast Beer Co. “And most craft beer enthusiasts really know about the art of creating beer and all of its intricacies, so there is always something to talk about and it truly makes it a fun day for us as well as those enjoying the beer.”

East Coast Beer Co. will debut both beers in their brand stable for tasting, Beach Haus® Classic American Pilsner and Beach Haus® Winter Rental. Merk and Brian will also be doing giveaways, meeting craft beer enthusiasts and sharing tips about home brewing at their table.

The second brew, available for tasting, was launched in October of 2011. Beach Haus® Winter Rental is a seasonal lager that was inspired by the German Schwarzbier – a hearty, yet soft and elegant brew that brings comfort to the late fall and winter months, and is a darker beer with roasted malts and a hint of chocolate.

The Road Code was created and developed by two long-time friends, Paul Brocky and Tom Catuosco in March of 2011 and launched as a free listing and posting site that allows users to share information in a new and exciting way.

Lake Adventure to Spend $9 Million on System Upgrades

Dingmans Ferry, PA (March 19, 2012) – In the beginning of February, Lake Adventure Community Association closed a $9 million loan with Wayne Bank to continue to make improvements to the community’s infrastructure systems. This loan will be used particularly for upgrades to the electrical components of the sewage system and pumping stations, as well as the replacement of water storage tanks and infiltration systems. Once these enhancements are complete, Lake Adventure will have spent more than $14 million upgrading their 40-plus year-old infrastructure.

“Our community association has been around for quite some time now, and it’s only natural that parts of our infrastructure will need some attention,” said Artey Berkey, Board President of Lake Adventure Community Association. “As I have said before, and will continue to say, we take great pride in ensuring that our infrastructure is in working order, not only for our property owners, but also for the environment. We have taken measures to secure funding to address the issues of our aging community and are making adjustments as we speak to make sure that we continue to be mindful of the environment.”

The $9 million dollar loan will aid in the completion of the conversion to a synchronized batch reaction system, which is a treatment process that uses both high surface area media and selected biological materials to start the sludge processes which improves the overall performance of the sewage system. By using this method it allows for a higher volume of surface area for the sludge process to take place. This system can be used for secondary treatment or biological nutrient removal processes. The engineers for this project are Niclaus Engineering from Stroudsburg, PA.

Using this method creates 75% to 85% nitrate removal when it’s 2 to 5 degrees Centigrade. At this temperature it also allows for 89% ammonia removals and 96% removal of Chemical Oxygen Demanded. After the temperature returned to above 8 degrees Centigrade, there was still improvements on the 36% range for the same parameters over past performances.

With this loan, the association will also install a 380,000 gallon water storage tank, which will stop the water hammer effect that has been happening during high demand. This addition of a new, larger tank will allow LACA to fix leaks more effectively and efficiently, and will create a ‘cushion’ for the systems operations.

LACA will also be upgrading the electrical system in the community; switching from the old, aluminum wire that was originally used in the seventies to new cooper wire. Other plans include upgrades to the sewer and water systems including but not limited to lateral/leak repairs, lift station replacement, generator upgrades, and the replacement of water hydrants.

The Road Code Fills Need and is Safer than QR Codes

SPARTA, NJ; EVERYWHERE, USA March 9, 2012) – As of late, the interactive technology in the marketing world known as the QR Code has been garnering a ton of bad press for its many limitations, and being fully aware of these limitations, Paul Brocky and Tom Catuosco created The Road Code to be the QR Code killer. QR codes, originally designed to track auto parts at car factories, are soon to become road kill as The Road Code targets on-the-go consumers, making the dissemination of information easy to use, safe, and more effective than its predecessor.

The Road Code offers free 4-character alpha numeric codes for users to create to their own mini website, or use as a website redirect identical to QR codes. With a Road Code, it’s easier for people to remember a unique 4-digit character code relatively easily and put it into The Road Code app on their smart phone or online when they get home. It isn’t necessary to snap an image of the code or remember a lengthy web address; this allows drivers a safe avenue to retain information posted on billboards and other outdoor advertising mediums, as opposed to the most recent hubbub about QR codes. As QR Codes are now becoming banned from outdoor media because of the safety issues with using a cellphone while driving, The Road Code has set out to become the ultimate QR killer by offering a more user-friendly and safe alternate.

“Every day we are excited about the potential of The Road Code,” stated Paul Brocky, co-owner of The Road Code. “Only 6% of all smartphone users have scanned a bar code or QR code and that should be an alarming statistic to marketers; despite the fact that they are free, they are causing more harm than good in many areas. The most recent news breaks about QR codes are certainly an opportunity for us to fill a void in that market and create a product that is easier to use, more effective and better looking.”

As of late, The Road Code has created hundreds of codes since the site’s launch on January 18th and is being used by people in all 50 states and more than 35 countries all over the world.

This online freeway for advertising allows users to log on and create their own mini website to promote anything their heart desires with an easy-to-use 4-character alpha-numerical code. The downloadable Road Code signs (already designed by The Road Code for users personal use) can be placed outside a home or business or in an advertisement that when you go to the Road Code website or app, you go to an entire page dedicated to whatever the advertiser want to promote.

The Road Code App gives users the ability to:

Access Road Code’s anytime and any place

Free access to real-time information on the go

An easy-to-use app with rich content that gives users only the information that they want

Ability to save the code on device for future reference.

Limitations of QR Codes:

Can’t commit them to memory

If the slightest bit damaged it becomes unreadable

Need to stand still while taking a photo of it; Need to focus it

If you change the URL destination of the code….you need to create a new code and print it out

They don’t work in subways….no cell phone signal ; You need a cell signal for them to work.

Road Codes can be read, written, and remembered (basic human instincts)

Users can download the application for Android, iPhone, and iPad from Android’s Market and iTunes, or by visiting www.roadcodeapp.com where more information and screen shots are available. (Blackberry app soon to come)

In general, The Road Code, found at www.TheRoadCode.com, is an online informational website that allows users to create their own mini websites that lets them post the who, what, when, where, why about anything they want to promote. Once they have put in all this information into a profile, complete with picture and video capabilities, they are given a four-digit code to use in their marketing and promotional efforts, as well as the ability to print The Road Code signs to post with this unique code. And the best part about the site is that it’s free!

Prix-Fixe Dining for Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Milford, PA (March 2, 2012)- The two-week culinary event, Electric City Restaurant Week is scheduled to kick off on Friday, May 4th and go on until Friday, May 18th. Modeled after New York City’s Restaurant Week, Electric City Restaurant Week follows the same idea; three-course, prix-fixe dining for under $32.00; but what makes this restaurant week different from all the rest is prix-fixe dinning for breakfast and lunch too.

“Scranton is such a unique city, so we thought that we would put an equally unique spin on the restaurant week for the Electric City,” said Foster. “We decided to move the event in May to give everyone more time to prepare and create a buzz for the gastronomic event that will happen. It also gives us the time needed to coach the restaurants through leveraging alternative marketing avenues on their own and build our relationship with them.”

Electric City Restaurant Week is sponsored by Happenings Magazine, Bold Gold Media, The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, POWER! Scranton, and KKPR Marketing & Public Relations.

During Electric City Restaurant Week, participating restaurants will offer a three-course, prix-fixe meal for $32.00 or less for dinner, $15.00 or less for lunch, and $8.00 or less for breakfast, per person, including tax. This is of course in addition to their regular menu. Students, families and everyone who enjoys eating out can take advantage of the promotion to visit their favorite restaurant or try new ones for a very affordable price.

“This is such an exciting event and we couldn’t be more excited to be involved,” said Josh Mast, co-owner of POSH. “It will certainly bring in new faces to the restaurant, as well as the area as a whole.”

Previously, KKPR launched Restaurant Week Along the Delaware, which highlighted restaurants along the Delaware River in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The success of that event, coupled with the agency’s love of food, prompted the creation of Electric City Restaurant Week. Participating restaurants will include Clarks Summit, Dickson City, Throop, Dunmore, and of course the Electric City itself, Scranton.

KKPR, Kconceptual Kreations, has grown from a one-woman, home-based business in 2006 to a burgeoning boutique agency that currently includes additional publicists, designers, a sales team and administration staff. Since its brand re-launch in September 2008, many new and exciting things have popped in the world of KKPR from new clients and services to new staff and KKPR Brands. Most recently KKPR was the recipient of a 2010 Addy Award for The Looking Glass Project from the American Advertising Federation of Northeastern Pennsylvania and the recipient of a 2011 SAGE award for Best Practices in Marketing and Communications. To get the most up-to-date information about the creative boutique, you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and their blog.
